Michael Marinaro

Michael Marinaro is a retired Canadian pair skater and three-time Canadian national champion. Over the course of his elite career, he represented Canada at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics alongside longtime partner Kirsten Moore-Towers. Prior to that, Michael also found success with former partner Margaret Purdy, with whom he captured the 2013 World Junior silver medal and the 2010 Canadian junior title.

Now a passionate coach, Michael is a certified pairs and singles coach with extensive experience working with young skaters. He is especially known for his expertise in jump technique and takes pride in helping athletes build solid technical foundations. With his wealth of experience, calm coaching style, and athlete-centered approach, Michael is dedicated to guiding the next generation of skaters toward their goals—on and off the ice.
