BFSC Stars on Ice Experience
Hello skaters! We're excited to plan another club trip to see Stars on Ice this year, especially after the fantastic time we had last year!
This year’s club outing to Stars on Ice is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines. The show kicks off at 7 PM, but we definitely recommend arriving a bit early!

BFSC Annual Awards Gala
You are cordially invited to the Brant Figure Skating Club Gala to celebrate the accomplishments of our skaters during the 2024-2025 season!
Date: Sunday, May 25, 2025
Time: 11:00am– 2:00pm
Location: Brantford Golf & Country Club
Admission: $5.00 per child under 12, $10.00 per adult
All attendees will receive a buffet-style lunch. Vegetarian options and accommodations for dietary restrictions are available, but please notify us at the very latest by May 11th.
Remember to dress in Garden Party/elevated casual attire! (Please avoid ripped jeans and large logo or graphic T-shirts.)

Figure Skating Pairs Workshop
Come and join us for Partner Power, our Figure Skating Pairs Workshop with Olympic and National Pairs Coach, Alison Purkiss. Skaters will participate in both on and off ice sessions, and lunch will be included.

Flashing Blades Skating Carnival
This year, the Brant Figure Skating Club invites you and your family to be part of the magic at our annual Flashing Blades Skating Carnival. Watch as skaters of all ages and skill levels dazzle with their spectacular routines, choreographed to tell an unforgettable story on ice!
This event is not just a showcase of talent but a celebration of the dedication and passion that each skater brings to the rink. It's an incredible opportunity for your child to perform on the big stage at the Brantford Civic Centre, surrounded by cheering family and friends. With show-stopping costumes, lively music, and a supportive community, this carnival promises to be an experience you won’t want to miss.
This year we will have two shows in which skaters can participate, a matinee and an evening show. Precanskaters and Canskaters will get picked up at intermission. Remember that all parents/guardians will be required to purchase tickets for each show they would like to watch.

Figure Skating World Championships Viewing Party!
Come join the BFSC as we cheer on Trennt, Lia, and Coach Alison when they compete at the World Figure Skating Championships!
The event take place in the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Trophy Room. Remember to wear your BFSC or Team Canada gear!

Sports Psychology Seminar
Supporting your skater(s) through their career as parents can be both challenging and rewarding. While there are many joyful moments, there are also tough times. How can we celebrate their achievements while fostering their skill development and character growth, helping them become well-rounded athletes and individuals? Join us on January 13th to learn from Jenn, our expert in this area!
Brant Figure Skating Club Competition and Santa Skate
Brant Figure Skaters will have the chance to perform their new programs or participate in a spin, spiral, jump competition (Canskaters), and receive feedback from Brant Figure Skating Club judges. After skaters are done performing, there will be a family Santa Skate where the big man himself has promised to make an appearance!
Brantford Santa Claus Parade
Join the Brantford Figure Skating Club as we glide into the holiday spirit at the Brantford Santa Claus Parade! It's a fun-filled opportunity for skaters ages 6+ to celebrate the season, showcase their team spirit, and represent our club in front of the community. Help us spread festive cheer, enjoy a magical evening, and make unforgettable memories together! Skaters are encouraged to participate – don’t miss out on this special event and sign up now!
Adult supervision will be provided.
BFSC Competition Simulation Day
Skaters will have the opportunity to practice their competitive programs with costume as well as receive some constructive feedback from the coaches.
Altitude Coffee Roasters Fundraiser
Support the Brant Figure Skating Club while also supporting local coffee company, Altitude Coffee. Bags will be sold for $20.00. Order forms will be available for pickup Monday November 4 and must be returned by Friday November 22. Orders will be available for pickup December 9 to 13. Have your choice of Death Spiral Dark Roast, Smooth Salchow Medium Roast, or Backspin Brew Decaf Roast. A perfect holiday gift for the caffeine addicts in your life! Prizes will also be available to those skaters who sell the most coffee.
